Yeah, the weeds are gone!
This was my workout today during kids' nap time -- dig up all the weeds that have taken over the "addition" area behind our house. The last two years we haven't had time (or energy) to tackle it. But I've gotten so sick of looking at the weeds. It took a full 2 hours of backbreaking work. UGH. I've already taken the Advil. This is the addition area that the previous owners tried to add to the house, but the contractor ran off with their money. Eventually we want to finish it.

Happy Father's day
We had a fun weekend at the cabin. After dinner tonight, Ben & Maddie relished sitting on top of their Dad while he fed them popsicles!

Apples!
Yesterday I let Ben hold a whole apple and I turned my back for a second and he started chewing away on it. I had never given them a whole apple before, so it was hilarious to watch him eat it. Then Maddie wanted one, but she couldn't quite get over trying to gnaw through the skin, so I cut away some of the skin and she dove right in.
And then I got this great picture of the two of them playing on the window ledge:
Today, we went to a birthday party for one of Jamey's relatives. Thankfully it was at a park and it wasn't raining. Ben & Maddie were all over the place. Jamey and I spent most of the time chasing after them and didn't get much chance to talk to family members -- or take any pictures. Oh well.
