Update:
We got home from the hospital yesterday. Babies are sleeping, pooping and eating and nothing else -- as expected! The doctor who discharged them said they had "exceeded expectations" and were wonderful babies!
My recovery is slowed a bit because I lost too much blood in the surgery and just after. I ended up getting a transfusion on Friday, but my energy levels are still very much sapped. It's going to take some time for my white color to return to pink and for me to get more energy (especially with sleepless nights with babies).
Our first night home was a bit traumatic. The babies seemed to want to eat every 30 to 60 minutes and they wouldn't sleep in their crib (although Ben powered through in the crib for the last 2 or 3 hours this morning). We're hoping tonight will be a tad bit better.
Thanks to all who have already volunteered to help us! It's really nice just having another adult pair of hands to get me a glass of water or hold a baby or change or diaper or whatever. Both yesterday and today I was able to get a shower only because somebody else was here to help with the babies for my few minutes of luxury!
