A camera crew is coming to our house on Monday to interview us as potential candidates for the DIY television show, "Sweat Equity." You might remember that I blogged about this awhile back (here) but it sounded like we were going to be rejected. Last Friday they called, though, and said they wanted to send a scouting crew to our house!! We are so unbelievably thrilled. So this crew will come on Monday, for about 45 minutes. They'll film us with the intention of getting a sense of our style, how we are on camera, what we want to do with the house (our kitchen/addition remodeling project) and stuff like that.
The producers will review the tape and make a decision in a couple weeks. Apparently one of the factors that plays into the decision is whether or not they have two projects in close proximity to each other that they can film at the same time.
So cross your fingers! I'll post more after the scouting visit on Monday.
